Cost of living is definitely higher in Sweden than in Germany. But in Germany you pay tax AND insurances from your salary, which can be around 50% of what you earn. Taxes in Sweden might be higher (most importantly the VAT). Also, bureacracy can be nerve-wrecking and it can take weeks, maybe even months until you fully arrived, got your personal number, bank account, full insurance, etc. Renting a flat in the big cities costs a fortune, it's better to buy if you have the money (normally the banks require you to pay 15% of the buying price by yourself).
